Still waiting on a resolution, and still not getting the newspaper delivered even though I made that cc payment several weeks ago.I will keep you posted. Did you send my initial message through to Gannet?
No resolution to the issue, no response
cancelled due to "non-payment" even though I sent payment in the form of check #139 for the amount of $46.12 payable to "The Record", which your customer service first said was never recd. , then later claimed it was either "cancelled" or "misapplied". They suggested I send a message with a copy of the cancelled check to Gannett Corp. P.O Box 750, Fishers , Indiana 46038-**** , which I did this week.
On that same call, they said I was also being billed for the "premium subscription", amounting to over $ 200, which I had never ordered/ever recd., and which they said would remove from my account, and also recomended I then pay the bill over the phone using my credit card, if I wanted my account would be restored, which I reluctantly did. I recd. the paper on Sunday, but not today, and when I called customer service this evening (10/12/23) they said the acct. was inactive and cancelled again due to "non-payment".
I informed the rep. that this was not acceptable, and planned to report this matter to Gannett Corporate headquarters for further investigation, which is what I am requesting now. I suspect some unusual or possibly fraudulent activity, and would appreciate your prompt response in helping to resolve this matter in a timely fashion.

During the month of August, 2023 I entered into agreement with Rochester Democrat & Chronicle for a price of $15.00 per month, for us to receive a year of the paper. We had automatic bill pay every month where the payment was automatically taken from our checking account to pay for the paper.
I received a confirmation letter dated August 28, 2023 @***.49 am to confirm the pricing. Here we are now in November and I was told that the price I received was not a valid promotion and that now I had to pay $32.00/per month, to still receive the paper. If that was the case, why did I get offered the promotion, pay for the promotion every month without any backfeed, and now 4 months later, am being told that the price was not valid. When I explained to the representative that I have a confirmation email regarding the price, she told me that they (Gennett) doesn't sent confirmations out so I couldn't have that.
I beg to differ as I have proof of that letter and I'm trying to get it to copy of this note. If I can't attach it, I would be happy to email it to you if you would like to see it.
Anyway, my complaint is for 3+ months we received and paid for the paper at the rate quoted and confirmed. Now it's not valid so I lose the other 9 months at the rate of $15.00 and to add insult to injury, today, which was supposed to be our last paper day, they never delivered it. To say the least, we are very disappointed in your company with how they handle customers.
Customer service stinks. I must add though, that the day after all this happened, someone called me to offer us 2 months at the $16.00 rate per month.
Needless to say I said no because I feel that this pricing agreement should have been honored for the year that I originally signed up for.
This is now water under the bridge, but I felt someone in upper management needs to know how your customers are being treated. Thank you for listening and if you need any other information, please feel free to contact me at the telephone number below or via email.
